Hiring a chauffeur by the hour in Frankfurt: how hourly booking works

A meeting in the banking district, then the trade fair, dinner in Sachsenhausen in the evening – anyone with several destinations in Frankfurt on one day does not book a chauffeur per ride, but per hour. Hourly booking, known internationally as “disposal service” or “chauffeur at your disposal”, is the most flexible form of chauffeur service. This is how it works.
The principle: time instead of distance
With hourly booking you reserve car and chauffeur for a time window. Within that window you go where you want, stop where you want and change the route when you want – no new booking, no new price. You are charged by the hour at the pre-confirmed hourly rate of your vehicle class; 20 kilometres per hour are included, and the minimum booking is four hours.
When hourly booking pays off
The classic cases: back-to-back appointments with waiting in between, roadshows and investor meetings, trade-fair days shuttling between hotel, hall and evening event, delegations with an uncertain schedule, shopping days on Goethestraße or a private city tour with stops. Whenever three or more individual transfers would add up, or the chauffeur would have to wait anyway, the hour is the better unit.
Hourly booking or day charter?
From eight hours we speak of a day charter: the same chauffeur, the same car, the whole day – with a day price and more generous cancellation terms (free up to 48 hours before the start). For multi-day roadshows or state guests the charter can also be laid out over several days, preferably with the same chauffeur.
What is included – and what is not
Included: chauffeur in a suit, vehicle of the booked class, fuel, 20 kilometres per hour, Wi-Fi and water, waiting during your appointments, VAT. Not included and disclosed transparently in advance: parking fees at your destinations, toll roads abroad and journeys far beyond the agreed scope – for instance if the Frankfurt day spontaneously turns into a trip to Munich.
Which vehicle class for hourly booking?
For the solo business traveller the E-Class is the most economical entry; anyone receiving guests or working in the back chooses the S-Class. For teams of four or more the V-Class with conference seating is the first choice – usually the cheapest class per head. We confirm the hourly rate of each class before you book.
How to book
Tell us the date, start time, expected duration, starting address and vehicle class – you can give the individual destinations to the chauffeur on the day itself. You receive your confirmation in text form with the hourly rate and a contact person. Changes to the time window are free up to 24 hours before the start.
